We briefly considered the magical city of Prague, what with my mother being Czech and all. We found this beautiful Baroque ballroom in one of the city's top luxury hotels, the Grand Hotel Bohemia, located in the heart of the old town. Built in 1927 in and Art Deco style, it was one of the first hotels in the world to offer private telephones in each room. But with the onset of communism, the hotel fell into disrepair until finally in 1989 when it was returned to the original owner's family, the Steiners. The hotel was completely refurbished in 2003.
