Despite being Creative Director at Bobbi Brown and a founder of MAC Cosmetics, it is Donald Robertson's art that is propelling him into the spotlight. When I first saw his work I could not help but make comparisons to Andy Warhol and Matisse with all of the collage and pop colors. But what is so refreshing about his work is how he can casually move from serious fashion illustration to playful vignette about his life as a suburban Dad. His sketches have appeared in any and every noteworthy fashion publication from Harper's Bazaar to Barney's and to Colette.
